Leveraging Threads for Business
Threads for Business – Friday 22 March 2024
Ormeau Business Park has partnered with Chartered Marketer Christine Watson to deliver a series of digital inspiration breakfasts to introduce local entrepreneurs, businesses, social enterprises and charities to lesser known online tools that can be leveraged for marketing success.
Alongside a micro learning session these free business breakfast in south Belfast also offers local professionals the opportunity to network.
During this 30-minute micro learning delivery by Chartered Marketer and SOSTAC Certified Planner Christine Watson, attendees will be walk through the process of successfully marketing their business, products and services, using the power of Threads (by Meta) and optimising an account for their brand to effectively reach established and new target customers.
Launched in July 2023, Threads is an online social media and social networking service operated by Meta Platforms. The app offers users the ability to post and share text, images, and videos, as well as interact with other users' posts through replies, reposts, and likes. Each thread can be up to 500 characters long.
According to Meta, as of February 2024, Instagram Threads now has more than 130 million monthly active users.
The text-based social networking app sprung up in the wake of Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter, now called X.
During the 30 minute micro learning delivery delegates will:
find out what Threads is
gain practical insight into the steps needed and tools available to help them create and optimise a Threads account for their business
be inspired by real life local examples of effective local marketing using Threads
be shown how they can go about creating and publishing their own Thread posts in a way that maximises the opportunity when they are presented to Instagram/Facebook users within individual newsfeeds!
be signposted to additional learning opportunities
Filled with inspirational insight and quick, actionable tricks and tips from a local marketer experienced in optimising and using Threads for business for multiple brands this free in-person breakfast event, funded and hosted by the enterprise agency for south Belfast – Ormeau Business Park, is open to all local entrepreneurs, businesses, social enterprises, charities, community groups and public sector employees across Northern Ireland.
About the Presenter
Chartered Marketer Christine Watson has been educating people across Northern Ireland and beyond since 2005. As a Marketing Strategist, SOSTAC Certified Planner, Google Square and WorldHost Licensed Customer Service Trainer Christine guides clients to success using a range of integrated marketing tools, techniques, and practices.
